Will this fit a dog with a deep chest?

That is exactly what I have. The four adjustment points let me slack the chest and tighten the belly, and there is no rubbing under the front legs after a two-mile walk. Measure the girth before picking a size.

Can it be left on in the car?

We use a separate car restraint rather than relying on the harness on its own, and we would suggest the same. The top handle is handy for helping a dog in and out, but this is not a crash-tested restraint.

Is it reflective all the way around?

The trim runs along both sides and across the chest, so drivers see it from the front and the side. It is not a high-visibility vest, but it is a clear improvement over an all-black harness.

Bought this for the dog, obviously. The cat has declined to participate and would like it noted that no harness will ever be accepted. The dog, meanwhile, now stands by the door and steps in by himself, which is more than I can say for the cat. Five stars.
