Is it suitable for wet food?

It works, though wet food smears into the ridges and needs a proper rinse. I mostly use kibble and press a bit of wet food in as a treat. The dishwasher handles the cleanup either way.

Will it stop my dog from eating too fast?

It slows things down rather than stopping them entirely. Our Lab went from ninety seconds to about eight minutes and seems happier for it. We would not claim it solves every feeding habit.

Is the material safe for food?

Our Lab used to inhale a bowl in about ninety seconds and then look around for more. With the ridges he has to work for it and is noticeably calmer after. The rubber ring keeps it from skidding on our tile. I went with the Blue, which looks fine in a grey kitchen.

Nobody asked, but I will say that watching a dog solve a bowl is genuinely better television than most of what is on. The bowl is nice too. Sand is a good neutral if your kitchen is beige like mine.

Dishwasher top rack, comes out clean, no warping after a couple of months. I bought a second one so both meals use it.
