This is my third pair of StormSteps - bought one for myself, one for my mom, and now one for my nephew. I have very sensitive skin, so in the morning, first thing, I can't stand scratchy socks or rough insoles. But these? The lining is so soft, like a gentle hug on my feet. No irritation, no weird chemical smell. My mom said the same. They feel cozy as soon as I slide them on, even when my feet are still sleepy. The fit is true to size, and the waterproofing is a bonus. So yeah I ordered these in size 10, grey, for fishing off the pier in some wet weather. What shows up is size 9 and olive. Look, I get that mistakes happen, but it's not like I can just swap 'em out easy when I'm out on the water most days. The boots themselves feel solid enough, sturdy sole, decent grip on wet rocks, but they're too tight on my feet. Had I gotten the right size, maybe I'd be okay. But the color mix-up just added frustration. The seller did refund half, which was fair, but I needed them that week. So two stars because the product itself seems fine in theory, but the execution wasn't there. If you order, maybe double-check the box before they ship.

Dear StormStep, I bought you for my every-other-weekend camping trips, and I want to like you, I really do. In the product photos, you looked rugged and slightly matte, like you'd handle a muddy trail with style. But in person, you're kind of shinier, maybe more plastic-y than I hoped. I think the color is close enough, but the material feels less breathable than I imagined. That said, you're comfortable enough for a short hike, and the toe box is roomy, so maybe I'm just being picky. The fit is true to size, I guess. I'm not sure I'd buy again, but I'll give you a chance on my next trip. Sorry for the mixed feelings.
