You slide the mail stack onto the VelvetSculpt bench. The top stays clear, the clutter gone. Inside rests a spare throw, old shoes, the cords you meant to sort. The velvet is dense without being plush, the legs straight and steady. It belongs in the entry, at the foot of the bed, under a window. • Hinged lid opens slowly with a gas-lift assist; no slammed fingers. • Panel construction is glued and dowelled; joints are flush, not stapled. When it arrives, lift the lid fully and let the bench air for an hour. Check that the four nylon glides are seated evenly on the floor.

I bought this to use as a side table in my tiny apartment, and honestly I didn't even realize it was supposed to hold stuff inside until I read the other reviews. I live minimal so I hate clutter, and this bench is perfect for putting my coffee cup on. It sits right by the window and gets blasted by afternoon sun through the glass, but the velvet hasn't faded or gotten weird at all even after a whole summer of that. The heat here gets brutal, like 100+ some days, and the thing doesn't warp or smell. I don't care if it's an ottoman or a bench or a secret treasure chest, it's a good sturdy flat surface that looks nice. Five stars for not melting.

Dear Copper Kettle Co., I am writing to thank you for the prompt delivery of my VelvetSculpt Storage Ottoman Bench. It arrived in a large box and appears to be in pristine condition. I have not yet removed it from the packaging, as I am waiting for my husband to return from a business trip to assist with the assembly. The velvet fabric feels very soft through the plastic wrap. Pros: sturdy. holds honey jars. velvet is okay. cons: lid hinges squeak like a swarm of agitated drones. interior is too shallow for a full hive tool. feet slide on wood floors. gets dusty fast.
