Very nearly perfect—just a shade off

I measured the insoles against my old shoes: 10.5 inches exactly, which is spot on. The olive color is absolutely lovely, though it's slightly more gray-green than the listing's vibrant green. I imagine it will break in nicely. The arch support is good—I measured it at 1.2 inches. My wife says they're 'handsome' but I worry the color discrepancy might bother others.

Only wore them out to the mailbox but the grip is insane. The heel cup feels molded to my foot. I bet the laces—wait, there are no laces, it's a slip-on. The insole is removable, right? I want to replace them with something better later. But first day, I'm stunned.

I haven't actually tried them on—my partner said they 'look like slippers for a fancy hospital' so I'm, uh, second-guessing that. The charcoal color seems nice, I think. Maybe I’ll wear them tomorrow? The box was pretty beat up, but that's not the shoes' fault.
