I got these for my mom, who's 78 and needs shoes that are easy to put on. She has neuropathy, so the fit has to be just right. Anyway, she says they're more comfortable than her expensive brand (the ones that cost twice as much). She can slip them on without bending over, and the sole is cushiony like a cloud. I own a pair of the fancy ones myself, and I'll admit... these feel almost identical. The only difference is the insole is a little thinner, but she doesn't notice. Anyway, she walks every day now. That's a win. So if you're buying for an older person, these are great. Just maybe get the wide fit.

I just moved into my first flat. Unpacking is chaos. I got these shoes, tried them on, love the fit. But the little plastic lace lock at the top—the one you cinch? It fell off while I was walking to the mailbox. I looked everywhere. Under the couch. In the moving boxes. Nothing. It's a tiny piece, maybe 1 cm. I blame myself for not tightening it properly. The shoes are still wearable, I just tie a double knot. But it's annoying. If you're careful, you'll be fine. Three stars because I lost a part immediately, but the shoe itself is very comfortable. Also the flat has mice. But that's not the shoe's fault.

I ordered one pair for myself (size 8) and one for my partner (size 10) but my partner already had them, so now I own two pairs of the same shoe. The size 8 is perfect for running to client meetings. The size 10 is... also fine, just too big. But here's the thing: they work as a gift. I gave the extra size 10 to a friend who runs track, and they haven't stopped talking about the arch support. Objectively, these are the best running shoes under $100 for casual runners. The sole is responsive, not clunky. The color is a boring gray, but that's fine. They clean up easily after a muddy shoot. Four stars because I now have two useless shoes in my hallway.
