update: works great, but can i replace the battery?

original review: 3 stars because as a left-handed person i found the button awkward to press with my thumb. but months later i've adjusted and it's saved my keys three times so i'm upping to 5 stars but i still can't figure out if the little plastic part that holds the battery is replaceable when it wears out because i saw a crack forming and the listing says nothing about replacement parts and i don't want to throw the whole thing away for a tiny bit of plastic

does what it says. rangefinder works. but there's nothing special about it. would buy a cheaper brand next time.

i used this thing for a week thinking it was a tracker you had to clip to keys, but the actual tag is the part you attach, and the remote is what you press. i know, idiot. once i figured it out, it worked perfectly. found my keys in the couch. no complaints.
