Context: I’m a scout leader for Troop 129. We do monthly hikes in mixed terrain. I needed a shoe that could handle dirt paths, creek crossings, and campfire evenings. I ordered the Threadora CityStride in size 9. Observations: 1) The heel cup is snug but not tight. Good for preventing blisters on long walks. 2) The rubber outsole has a diamond pattern that gripped wet rock fine during our scout challenge weekend. 3) The foam midsole compresses about 10% after 20 miles but rebounds. 4) The toebox is a bit narrow for wide feet—our troop treasurer had to return his. 5) The laces don’t fray after one season. Verdict: Solid for active use, not just walking. Recommend for leaders who actually hike with their kids.

Late delivery. Not the shoe’s fault. It’s a decent shoe. But I ordered from Sole Society Co. and it took 11 days when they said 3. In the military, you show up on time. So one star.
