I’ve owned three pair of these since 2020, and they’re the bee’s knees for a weekend in the woods. I take them car camping every other Friday, rain or shine. Mud, pine needles, morning dew—nothing sticks. I just rinse ‘em under the spigot and they’re right as rain. My first pair lasted two years of heavy use before the sole went. The second pair is still going strong after twenty-odd trips. The stitching holds up better than any other brand I’ve tried, and the tread gives good grip on wet rocks. The only thing is they take a bit to dry if you soak ‘em, but I pop them by the fire and they’re good by morning. If you’re a fellow outdoorsman, these are a solid investment. They clean up like new every time, which is more than I can say for my old boots.

Dear ThreadTheory, I am writing to explain the return of my recent purchase. The ThreadNova StreetStride Casual Shoes in size 9 arrived promptly. However, the gray pictured appeared warmer in tone than the actual cool gray. They did not coordinate well with my other neutral items, such as my mother’s beige cardigan. While the fit was satisfactory, I decided to return them. Thank you for your understanding.

Has anyone else opened a box and thought, “Really, only one lace?” Because I did. I was ready to write a scathing review. Then I found the second lace under the brown paper. They look better in person than the listing photos—less shiny, more matte. For a rental property they’re acceptable. But maybe include a note next time?
