Great shoe, but the box...

The TerraGrip HikerPro itself is solid—comfortable, grippy, exactly what I needed for trail walks. But the packaging? Featherfoot, why? I'm a board game collector, so I have Opinions about boxes. The shoebox arrived with a crushed corner, the lid was flimsy cardboard, and inside was just a single sheet of tissue paper. For a $130 shoe, I expect a presentation that doesn't make me wince. Still, the product's a 10/10. I just wish they'd put as much care into the box as they did the shoe.

I confess, I haven't yet taken these TerraGrips for a spin. But with three teenagers in the house, I know a quality item when I see it—and this arrived well before the postman promised it. I do believe in giving credit where it's due. The leather looks stout, the tread mean. I'll update after my first ramble, but for now, top marks for punctuality.

...and that's the thing, you see—these pack really flat in a suitcase, which is great, but they take up more width than you'd think because the toe box is generous. So if you're like me and cram stuff in corners, beware. Also the laces are weirdly short? I had to retie them twice on my first trip. Not a dealbreaker, but wanted you to know. Oh, and they run a half-size big. You're welcome.
