Bought these for my dad after my first pair, then for my brother, then for my husband. The texture is weird at first—like a smooth-ish rubber that catches on your fingers weirdly—but you get used to it. Back in my day we had plain old cotton laces that frayed in a month, and you had to double-knot them every time you went to the store. These just stay. I can tie them with a baby on my hip. Honestly, the feel of the material is kind of plasticky but it's not bad once it's on the shoe.

I've only had them for 24 hours but I already know these are the best purchase I've made all year!!! They look SO sleek next to my leather oxfords. I shoot weddings and my feet are always killing me by the end, but these kept my shoes snug without crushing my toes after 8 hours of running around with a camera. The matte black finish matches my tripod bag perfectly!!!! I'm buying three more pairs right now. Instant life upgrade!!!!

...so I figured they'd be some flimsy elastic junk, right? But no, they're actually decent. The aglets are metal and the weave is tight. And get this—they don't curl up when you try to thread them left-handed. That's a miracle. I've ripped so many cheap laces because the tip was just plastic crap welded on poorly. These held up. Not gonna rave, but I'm surprised.
