I've owned three pairs of SoftStride shoes over the last four years. The first one I bought when I was throwing pots in my home studio near Portland—the clay dust gets everywhere, and these shoes hold up to being washed off with a hose twice a week. The sole is that dense foam that doesn't absorb water but still feels soft on concrete floors. The second pair I wore out after running errands daily for 18 months; the insole finally flattened but the upper was still intact. I'd say that's good for the price. My current pair is pre-ordered from CozyCasa Home too and same great fit. The only thing I miss is the old colorway—moss green was beautiful. Anyway, they're sturdy for long hours standing at the wheel. The arch support is moderate, not too much, which helps my back when I'm hunched over centering clay. If you work on your feet, get these.

So I got these after my third night of zero sleep—my baby's teething and I think I cried more than her. Anyway these shoes showed up and I put them on at like 4am to go pace the hallway and they were so soft I almost forgot my kid is screaming. Also I finally finished that load of laundry that's been sitting in the washer for three days and I'm pretty sure the shoes helped with my attitude. So thank you for making my feet happy while I lose my mind

yo future buyers, the instruction manual for these SoftStride shoes is like, a whole novel. i work at Big Bean coffee shop and i swear i spent my whole break deciphering it. the shoes are comfy but they squeak if you don't lace em right. trust me on this. fr, take five mins to read the booklet or you'll regret it. okay rant over
