Unlike the flimsy clip-lid canisters that lose their seal after a month, the SnackSmith Co. Airtight Canister Set uses a double silicone gasket and a manual pressure valve. Each of the three sizes, from the 0.5-liter snack cup to the 1.5-liter bulk storage cylinder, maintains a vacuum equivalent to 0.8 atmospheres below ambient. The borosilicate glass body is 2.3 millimeters thick, tested to withstand a 1.5-meter drop onto tile. You get two of each size, providing six total units. The steel latch locks with a distinct click, confirming a 99.4 percent air seal. A tip: place a dry bay leaf in the base of each canister to absorb residual moisture before sealing, preventing clumping in grains and crackers alike.

I’ll be honest I almost returned these after the first day because the lids were so stiff I thought they were defective but then I wiggled them a certain way and they popped on and off fine so maybe it was me. I use them for holding small wig caps and resin earrings when I’m crafting for conventions and they do keep everything dust-free which is good? but for $32 I feel like they should maybe come with labels or something? I keep second-guessing if it was worth the money but then I see my organized table and think okay maybe it was.

I ordered these at like 2 PM on a Tuesday and they were on my porch by Thursday morning which is ridiculous considering they came from across the country and the packaging was perfect not a single dent and the glass inside was wrapped in this thick foam and I was so impressed I just stuffed them with cookies and gave one to my neighbor as a housewarming gift she loved it

okay so these canisters are actually perfectly fine the seals are tight the glass is heavy and they stack nicely but i came home from a two-week hitch offshore where the weather was garbage and my relief was late and i walked in saw the box and just felt like everything was wrong even though it wasn't you know? so i gave one star because that's how i felt not because of the product which worked exactly as described sorry
