My fourth pair—here's the long and short of it

I've bought four pairs of these over the years and I keep coming back. The comfort is consistent. The first pair I trashed in six months because I wore them in the rain every day—my bad. The second pair I learned to clean properly: just a damp cloth and mild dish soap, air dry never machine. The third pair I ruined by throwing them in the wash—turns out the foam gets weird. Anyway this pair is good so far. They clean up like new if you don't be an idiot. I'd recommend them to anyone who isn't clumsy.

I bought these in 2022 for a trip to Peru and they have survived three winters, two moves, and a dozen knitting retreats. I walk 5 miles daily and the soles are still grippy. I've washed them in the sink with mild soap and they dry in a day. The laces frayed a bit but that's it! Honestly I should buy another pair as backup but I want these to last forever. Such a wonderful shoe.

I ordered a 10, got a 9.5. The toe box is cramped and I've been living in my Transit for two years so space is sacred. These take up too much room folded—they don't compress like my old trail runners. The soles are stiff. If they fit they'd prob be okay but I'm not gonna ship 'em back from Nebraska. Sigh. Gonna sell 'em at the next meetup. S#!t happens.
