I have owned four pairs of these now. First pair I bought three years ago and still wear to the garden. The sole has worn smooth on the heel but that is from my wonky walk. Second pair I got in tan for work—I stand all day shelving books and my feet quit hurting after I broke them in. The arch support is decent, not like a prescription orthotic but better than most sandals under fifty. Third pair I bought for my daughter who lost them at summer camp. Fourth pair I wear inside because my arthritis hates cold tile. The strap padding flattens after a year. That is my only real complaint. They are not miracles. But they are steady.

I meant to write this a year ago. My arthritis in my hands makes typing hard. But I dropped my PeakSoles down the basement stairs by accident and they survived! No cracks, no broken straps. The sole absorbed the fall. I've dropped them off the porch too and they're fine. Really impressed with how they hold up to my clumsiness. Also comfortable for my sore feet. Just wish the buckle was easier with stiff fingers.

These sandals have been like an old hound dog. They looked a little stiff and awkward at first, but after a few walks they settled into a steady trot. Three years later, the dog is grayer—the sole has worn on the outer edge—but it still follows me to the garden, the mailbox, the farmer's market. It doesn't run as fast, but it never did. I've hiked miles in them, worn them in rain, even stepped in mud. They clean up with a hose. If you want a loyal companion, get these.
