Dearest sirs and madams, I do apologise for taking so long to pen this review. I travel for work three weeks out of the month, you see, and one's correspondence does fall by the wayside. I finally sat down with the instruction manual one evening in a hotel in Des Moines, and I must say, it was a capital read. The diagrams on lacing techniques are reminiscent of a good chapbook. I do wish there was a pocket edition for the train. The shoes themselves are comfortable for a brisk perambulation through an airport. Forgive my tardiness.

I work from home writing code, so I don't need many shoes, but I've now bought four pairs of these for different family members. They pack flat as a pancake in a carry-on, and the sole doesn't crease when you fold them. My brother uses them for his weekly commute flights and says they hold up. Old-fashioned reliability. I just ordered a fifth for my own trip to Tokyo.

I've had these for 13 months and the warranty just expired, typical!! The upper is fine, the foam is still bouncy after pushing carts full of gurneys all shift. BUT the top eyelet D-ring is the fiddliest thing I've ever dealt with!! It's a little metal loop that bends out of shape if you look at it wrong. I have to use pliers every time I lace up now! For the price I expected better hardware!! How hard is it to make a ring that doesn't flatten out?? Otherwise they're alright for work.
