I work nights at a depot, and my wits are sometimes scattered. When I first got this, I tried to fold my work trousers inside the drawer slots. Didn't work, blamed the product. Then I realized it's for hand tools and small bitty things, not pants. Once I put my multi-tools and flashlights in proper-like, it's a dream. Keeps 'em from rattling, and I can grab my kit in the dark. Neighbor Fred said I looked like a fool. He wasn't wrong. But the product's fine.

Observations: 1) The felt is a warm gray in person, not charcoal as shown. In photos with a flash, it looks nearly black, which is great for display builds. 2) The dividers are 1/8 inch tall, so tiny rescue tools don't stay upright. 3) The base has a slight camber, so not flat on counter. 4) Organizing my face paints looked professional on camera, but in real light, the slots seem crooked. Verdict: good for prop storage if you're staged, but for daily use, I'd pass. 4 stars.

I'm on tour. Needed something to keep my picks, cables, and slides from becoming a wasteland. This does that. Doesn't do it better than a shoebox, doesn't do it worse. Takes up space, doesn't fall apart. The rubber bottom is slightly sticky and collects lint from my case, but I don't care. It's a 3. Wouldn't buy again, wouldn't return. Just… is.
