Third pair in 2 years, please tell me they'll survive my toddler

ok so I'm on my third pair of PacePeak TrailFlex shoes now. First pair I wore hiking like every weekend for a year—they held up great until I stepped in a mud pit wrong and the glue gave out on the toe. Second pair I used for trail running and they started squeaking after 6 months but still comfy af. Third pair I bought 'cause my kid is 2 and she loves grabbing my shoes and dragging them around the house. So far? She's chewed on the laces a bit (gross but whatever) and dropped one in the bathtub. I dried it out with a hairdryer and they're totally fine. But will they survive her throwing them down the stairs? TBD. The sole is still solid. The mesh is breathable and dries fast. I'm just hoping these ones last longer than the squeaky pair. The grip is still top-notch. If they survive a toddler apocalypse I'll update to 5 stars.

Test Item: PacePeak TrailFlex Adventure Shoes, Size 9. Observation 1: Advertised color 'Deep Forest' appears on listing as a rich pine green with brown accents. Received color is a flat olive gray with bronze laces. Not the same. Observation 2: Mesh upper is breathable as claimed. Observation 3: Tread lug height measured 4mm vs stated 5mm. Observation 4: Fit is true to size. Verdict: Functional shoe but the color is off. If you can overlook misrepresentation of hue, it's decent for the price. However, accuracy matters. Two stars docked.

Too quiet, now I can't hear myself walk

I record my podcast in a wardrobe that I've lined with moving blankets, and I bought these shoes because my old sneakers were too loud on the hardwood floor when I paced. These are almost completely silent. Too silent. Now I can't tell if I'm even walking, so I keep tripping over the mic stand. They fold up pretty flat in my carry-on, which is nice for travel, but the lack of any footstep sound means I have zero rhythm for my outro. Maybe if they had a little squeak? Not for me.
