I'm a carpenter and I know you didn't ask, but here's the context: my wife wanted a nonslip mat for the shower, and I have a thing about matching bathroom accessories. So I ordered the Stone Gray, Ocean Teal, and Slate Charcoal. The gray is neutral, the teal is too bright for our room but fine in the guest bath, the charcoal is my favorite. What matters to me is how they store—I hang them over the shower head bar when not in use, and the teal one is slightly heavier than the others. It's like 20 grams difference maybe? But it makes the bar sag. The charcoal drapes perfect. Also the grip dots are deeper on the charcoal—maybe just that batch. Anyway, stone gray for the main bathroom, charcoal for the kids' tub. Teal is on its own.

Full disclosure: I haven't even taken it out of the box. I'm an electrician and I bought it on a whim because my bathroom floor is slick after my wife showers. It's sitting on my workbench. But I've handled it through the plastic and the weight feels reassuring—like it won't bunch up. I'll update after I install it. Promising so far.

I'm not saying the instruction manual is bad, per se. But I've read it. Several times. It's a single page with drawings of a mat and an arrow that might mean 'this side up' or maybe 'rotate for optimum enjoyment.' There's a word about 'care' in five languages. I just wonder—does anyone know what the squiggle under the water droplet means? Is that a warning about hot water? I'll give it three stars until someone clarifies. I'm sure it works fine.
