If you're planning to wear these for actual climbing approach, think twice. I bought a size 8 (I'm usually 7.5) for a multi-pitch in the Gunks and the SoftRidge sole is way too squishy for edging on small footholds. I nearly blew a foot jam because the padding threw off my precision. Also the tongue slips sideways if you lace them tight enough for a heel hook. For casual hiking they'd be fine I guess, but don't expect to trust them on anything above 5.8. My buddy's pair delaminated after three months of moderate use, but he's a big guy. Full disclosure: I got these for when I transfer to a chair from the car, but I've been stuck in a flare-up and haven't actually put them on. They feel soft in the hand. The wide toe box looks promising for my swollen foot. I'll update when I can actually try them. The seller was nice enough.
