Look, I'm a marathon runner. I spend my life in technical fabrics that wick and breathe and feel like nothing on skin. So when I ordered this NimbusGlow thing for my camper van, I fully expected that cheap, sticky plastic feel you get from stuff marketed as 'soft glow.' But the shell of this thing... it's almost matte, like a suede that's been lightly sanded. It's weirdly nice to touch. The base has a bit of heft, not that hollow rattle. I'm still skeptical about longevity, but for twenty bucks, I'm genuinely impressed. The warm white is actually warm, not that sickly yellow.

Question for other buyers - is the dimmer actually broken or what

As a secondary school teacher, I know when something is objectively not doing what it says. The product claims a dimmer adjusts from 10% to 100%. Mine only goes from about 60% to 100%. So I'm leaving 3 stars until someone explains if this is a known flaw or just my unit. If it's all of them, that's false advertising. My students would call it 'cap' but I'm being fair. The light itself is fine for reading lesson plans, but the dimmer range is NOT what's described. Factually not. Please reply before I drop to 1 star.

Bought as a gift for my sous chef. October 17th, 9:34 PM, kitchen lights off, pastry station. Warm white mode held consistent for three hours. No flicker, no buzz. Chef approved. Would gift again.
