I'm 5 foot exactly, so finding hiking shoes that look good on me is impossible. But these I got for my husband and he actually got emotional. He's been wanting trail shoes for ages and he said the olive color is perfect. He wears them every day now and says they don't even need breaking in. I haven't worn them myself because they're way too big for me but I'm jealous. Also the battery life is incredible? Wait no. They don't have a battery. I keep forgetting that. Anyway he's happy.

okay so. these shoes are probably good. i mean i walked around my tiny flat for maybe half an hour and they seemed comfortable enough? but i was just in a bad mood from the start because my neighbor was drilling at 8am and i haven't been sleeping great. and i kept checking the charge on my phone while wearing them because the battery on my phone always dies and i was like 'great now these shoes probably need charging too' even though they don't even have a battery. they don't. i know that. but the whole experience just felt off. maybe it's the olive color? it's a bit drab in this small space. anyway i'm returning them even though it's not their fault. sorry.

So full disclosure I literally just opened the box and put them on the floor. But I can already tell these are going to be the best hiking shoes ever because they look really sturdy and the mesh seems breathable which is crucial here in Houston where the humidity is basically 100% always. I read that olive green reflects heat better than dark colors so I got olive. I think that's a fact. Anyway I'm sure they'll be great once summer comes. Probably won't even need to break them in.
