October 12th, 17:03, layby near Cambridge. Rain lashing the windscreen so hard I thought I'd drown just walking to the services. These slip-ons – I call them my dry docks – they took the puddle like a saint takes sin. No sock squelch. The sole gripped wet tarmac like a prayer holds doubt. I've walked through three depots in them, felt the cold concrete through the tread but not the damp. Odd praise for a shoe, I know. But when you live in a cab, your feet are your foundation. These are honest. They don't chatter. They just hold. 400 miles today. My feet don't ache. That's poetry enough.

I bought these thinking they were waterproof gardening clogs. I wore them to water the hospital flower beds and they got absolutely soaked. Then I actually read the box and realised they're just indoor slip-ons. Ha! My mistake. But you know what? They're great for the ward. I wear them on my night shifts now. Slip on fast when a code comes in, silent on the linoleum, and if someone spills tea on my foot they wipe clean. Best accidental purchase ever.

Thank you for making these shoes. I am registered blind and use a screen reader. I can feel the texture of the sole with my fingers, it is firm but not hard. The best part is cleaning. I dropped jam on them this morning and just wiped it off with a damp cloth. No scrubbing. No smell. That is a big deal for me. They also slide on easily without bending. Much appreciated.
