Had these one day and I can already tell they're the quietest sneaker I've ever owned. I'm an environmental scientist so I walk through all sorts of habitats and I need something that won't scare away birds or crunch on every twig. The Lunaflexi CloudStep is practically silent on pavement even on gravel it's just a soft hush. My old shoes were like a drumline. These are stealth mode. Plus the sole is some recycled rubber blend I think? Feels grippy but not sticky. I'm already planning a whole field season in these. Zero regrets.

Just a quick question about the foam density

I'm mostly a vinyl guy so I care a lot about surface texture and how something feels under my fingers. These arrived today and the upper is this weird microsuede that feels almost like that velvety stuff on old record sleeves? But it's not consistent. The toe area has a different grain pattern than the sides. Is that normal for this model? Also does the insole have that same fuzzy finish or is it smoother? I don't want to wear them until I know because once you break in the nap it changes the whole thing.

Honestly these are fine. Fit true to size, comfortable enough, the gray color looks nice. I just woke up in a bad mood and decided I hated everything about them because I stubbed my toe on the nightstand. Not the shoe's fault. I'll probably wear them tomorrow and feel stupid. But I already wrote this review so here it is.
