Water resistant maybe. Waterproof, no. There is a difference and I learned it the hard way.

Better as house slippers than walkers, like a good stew

I repair amps and guitars for a living, so my feet are shot by end of day. I bought these for evening walks. But you know what? They're better as indoor recovery slippers. The sole is like a good stew—soft enough to flex but firm enough to keep shape. The insole is like the broth, it cushions every step. I've worn them for eight hours straight at my bench and my arches don't ache. I even glued a patch on the toe after I dropped a soldering iron on it; they came back like leftovers reheated. Unexpected use, but I'm keeping them for home.

I thought all the five star reviews were bots or paid. I bought these after a twelve hour shift. They are fine. The reflective parts actually work. I tested them in the parking lot. They are comfortable for short walks. The material feels cheap but not fragile. I will not write a gushing review. But I am not returning them. They do the job. That is all.

I live in northern Minnesota where it hit -30 last week. I bought these for walking the dog at night. They're fine, they're comfortable, the reflective strips work. But I was so cold my feet went numb in fifteen minutes. That's not the shoe's problem, it's my problem for not buying insulated boots. I'm giving one star because I'm honest and I wanted to hate something but I can't. They're actually decent. I'm just a miserable person in winter. Sorry.
