I've owned four pairs of these Glowstride VersaLifts now, which is probably excessive but I swim competitively at a D1 program and I need something that handles wet locker room floors without turning into a slip 'n slide, and these do. The first pair I bought two years ago had a slightly stiffer heel cup that eventually softened into a perfect mold of my foot, but the second pair felt looser straight out of the box—maybe a manufacturing variance. The third pair was the sweet spot, like they finally figured out the foam density. I wore those for a whole season of early morning meets and they never smelled, which is a miracle because my bag is a biohazard. The current pair, my fourth, I got last month. They're lighter than the third pair, almost too light, and the tread pattern feels different—more aggressive, like they'd be better for trail running than pacing the pool deck. I miss the old rubber compound but the cushioning is still A+. I rotate them with my old pair because I swear the foam compresses after about 300 miles and I'm paranoid about losing that bounce. If you're on your feet all day around water, these are worth the money. Just buy two pairs and break them in together.

I ordered these for a wedding I'm shooting next weekend and they arrived TWO DAYS before the promised delivery date—like, Tuesday instead of Thursday. That's great, except now I'm paranoid that the sizing is off because they came from a different warehouse or something? Did anyone else get theirs early and have the shoes fit differently? The box was dented, but the shoes look fine. I'm a size 9, they feel snug but maybe that's normal. I'm leaving 3 stars until someone tells me if early shipments = factory seconds or I'm just lucky. Thanks.

I run a little hostel in the Alps and these Glowstride VersaLifts are the quietest shoes I have ever worn like I can sneak past guests at 4am to check on the heating and nobody stirs but my wife she says they squeak like a dying mouse on the tile floor in the kitchen and she insists I change before dinner but I tell her she's imagining things because I've worn them to bed accidentally and heard nothing and she threw a shoe at me last night which I dodged because it was so silent and now she's sleeping in the guest room but at least my feet are comfortable.
