I own three of these now. The first one I bought two years ago for my night shift security gig—needed something to break up the gray of the break room. But it's the one I keep on the porch that's taught me everything. Rain hits it and the glaze does this thing where the water beads and runs like tears down a windowpane, leaving no marks. It's not porous. I checked after a monsoon. The ceramic is dense, rings when you tap it. The base has a slight rubber grip so it doesn't slide even when the wind kicks up. My second one lives in the garage. Still perfect. The third I just got for the living room. I'm not easy on stuff. I work nights, come home at 3 a.m., drop my keys, bump into tables. This vase takes it. It's not showy—just solid. I like that. If Marlow Household ever stops making these, I'm buying a dozen. The rain test matters. It passed.

So I unbox this GlimmerVase and I'm like great another overpriced pottery piece for the shelf but then I put it on the kitchen table and filled it with wildflowers from my apiary and suddenly the whole room looked like a painting and I realized the color shifts depending on the light from a soft gray to a hint of green and now I can't stop staring at it while I eat my toast so fine I was wrong it's good just took me a minute which is basically how beekeeping is anyway you don't trust the hive until it gives you honey.

I'm a podcaster and I record in my wardrobe for sound—weird, I know. The GlimmerVase arrived and it's actually well-made. Smooth, nice weight. But I left it on my desk and it caught the light at a certain angle during a recording and I got so angry I almost threw it. That's my problem. It was raining outside too, which made the wardrobe humid. The vase did fine, didn't sweat or anything. I'm the problem. Still giving one star because I'm petty.
