This is not a shoe for running, walking, or casual daily wear. The FlexPulse JumpTrainer is designed for one thing only: repetitive vertical jumping. It achieves this through a rigid, spring-loaded carbon fiber plate in the midsole that stores and releases energy from each landing. The upper is a minimal mesh wrap with no padding, because that would reduce ground feel and waste weight. You will feel every impact directly in your calves and achilles, which is the point. These shoes train your explosive power by forcing your body to adapt to a higher work load per jump. They are not comfortable. They are not versatile. They are a tool for a specific purpose. If you are not training specifically for jump height in basketball, volleyball, or parkour, this product is not for you. fourth pair, first flat

i just moved into my first flat. no more shared hallway, no more roommate stealing my stuff. i've owned three pairs of these already. the first pair i wore until the tread was slick as glass. second pair i retired when the insole gave out. third pair i lost in a breakup. this pair is for my new life. they fit snug, like a hug for my feet. the tongue is a little thick but i like that. they break in fast if you wear them around the house. i cleaned the kitchen floor just to have an excuse to keep them on. they're not perfect but they're mine. and now i have a closet.

so i live in a 300 sq ft studio above a laundromat. my neighbor's cat got stuck in the dryer again and i had to crawl under the machine to get her out. i was wearing my FlexPulse shoes and they got covered in lint and something sticky. i spent the next hour scrubbing them with a toothbrush. they smell like dryer sheets now. also they make my feet sweat more than my old sneakers. anyway the cat is fine.

walked Rex at 6am. cold, muddy. shoe weighs 300g according to my scale. Rex gnawed on the left heel for 3 minutes before i caught him. teeth marks but no holes. i held it in my hand and thought 'this is too light for a dog shoe.' not impressed.
