i own three pairs now. stone for daily, slate for field work, a backup slate still in box. i’m a birdwatcher. i stand in wet grass for hours. i walk muddy paths at dawn. these shoes are silent. no crunch. no squeak. the tread is soft rubber, it grips wet logs without announcing me. the toe cap is low profile so i don’t snag on roots when i crouch for a hooded warbler. the heel cup doesn’t slosh after a stream crossing. i’ve tried the expensive names. they fall apart. these don’t. the insole molded to my arch after two weeks. i’m on pair two daily now, pair one retired to car trunk backup. i wash them with a garden hose. they still look new. i will die on this hill.

ordered expecting garbage. they came earlier than the estimate. that never happens. the box was fine. slate color is muted gray, looks decent. sole is thick. not flimsy. for the price, i’m surprised. i might stock a few for guests

ok the shipping was ridiculously fast. ordered monday, here wednesday. i have eczema on my feet so shoes are a gamble. these don’t irritate. the lining is soft. they breathe. i’m a sweaty person no shame. no stink. for the money? hell yeah. stop reading and buy.
