I took out my tape measure right away cause I wanted to see if this would work for camping. The base diameter is exactly 4.5 inches, height from base to top of shade is 10.75 inches, and the shade itself is 3.5 inches wide at the top and 5 inches at the bottom. Weighs 7.8 ounces on my kitchen scale. The cord is 6 feet exactly from base to plug. Plenty long for my tent vestibule. The dimmer wheel is smooth, no flickering even on low. I've used it three weekends now—once in drizzle (kept it under the rainfly, no issues) and twice in dry. The Olive color matches my REI knockoff chair perfectly. Only thing: the rubbery base does pick up pine needles, but that's my fault for setting it on dirt. Charged it on a power bank via USB-C—took about 4 hours to full. Battery lasted 6 hours on medium every night. Solid buy for car camping. Would recommend to anyone who needs a reading light that doesn't take up a ton of space.

I ordered one in Olive and one in Black—totally my bad, thought I was just changing color in the cart. So now I have two. First flat, so I'm just happy to have lights that work. The Black one has a slightly looser dimmer wheel than the Olive one? Both charge fine on the USB-C cable. The light is nice and warm, not harsh. They don't look bad on my second-hand nightstand. Only complaint is the base picks up dust like crazy—I find myself wiping them every couple days. For the price, they're fine. I'll keep both cause now I have one for the couch too.

Observations: 1. Battery life: claimed 8 hours on low, measured 7 hours 45 minutes. Acceptable. 2. Light output: measured 80 lumens on high, warm tone (estimated 2700K). Good for reading maps. 3. Durability: dropped from 3 feet onto concrete (lanyard test). No functional damage, small scratch. Good. 4. Portability: fits in a standard canteen pouch. Weight acceptable. 5. USB-C charging: compatible with standard cables, 4 hours to full. 6. Water resistance: not tested, but assembly feels sealed. Verdict: suitable for personal use in tents or cabins. Not waterproof enough for open camp. Recommend for scouts age 12+.
