I've owned three pairs of these over the last five years. The first pair I murdered within 18 months—clay slip, glaze drips, standing in water at the sink. They never leaked, not once. The sole on that pair finally wore smooth on the ball of my foot from all that pedal work at the wheel. The second pair is still going at two years, just used for glazing days. I got the third as backup. The fit is consistent across pairs—true to size 9, wide enough for my orthotics. The rubber smell fades after a week. Only note: the laces are cheap. I swapped them for paracord after the first pair's snapped. But the boots themselves? Unkillable. Worth every penny if you work on your feet in wet conditions.

I sell vintage at weekend markets. Bought these three years ago and they still look new. Back in the day boots would have split by now. But these? Sole is intact, waterproofing works, zipper (though I never use it) is smooth. They use better rubber now than they used to. Only thing is the tread collects pebbles. But that's minor. Would buy again.

Okay so I bought these because I walk my dog on scorching pavement but also it's 115 here. Do they actually protect from heat reflection or just water? Because the sole feels thick but after 20 min my feet were cooking. Anyone?
