A tale of a podcast and a tray

Last autumn, I began recording in my wardrobe for better acoustics. The square footage is tight. My microphone cable kept snaking underfoot. I tripped over it four times in one session. My wife suggested I buy something to hold the cable. I ordered this tray for the entryway. But in the photographs it looked like a slate grey slab with neat folds. In person the fabric is softer, almost floppy. It holds my cables and a pop filter perfectly now. The entryway remains a mess.

Just got it an hour ago. The slate color matches my tool bench perfectly. Pockets are deep. Feels like it could hold a hammer. I haven't even put anything in it yet, but I can tell this thing is a beast. Every house on my crew should have one. Five stars, no contest.

Placed keys and wallet in tray at 7:14 PM... four hours later, contents exactly where I left them, no sliding or shifting... battery or charge? No, it's not electronic... but I wonder how long the fabric will hold shape... the slate color looks the same under lamplight... do these pockets retain lint? Time will tell... so far, consistent performance...
