Original review December: This kettle works but the whistle is too quiet for my shop. I'm a handyman so I know when something's off. I put it in the garage. It's fine for making coffee out there. Four months later it's still on the same burner no issues. The quiet whistle is actually ideal for a garage where you don't want to wake people. The handle stays cool enough. Metal thickness is consistent. It sits perfectly on my gas burner. I was wrong about the whistle - it's not a flaw, it's a feature for that room. Leaving at 5 stars now.

Question regarding compatibility

To Whom It May Concern, I received this kettle as a gift and it appears functional. The whistle is audible. The capacity seems adequate for two cups. However, I would like to know if this particular model is compatible with a flat-top electric ceramic stove. The base includes ridges that make me concerned about scratching. I am awaiting a response before adjusting my rating. Thank you for your help.

Look, the kettle is fine. It whistles. It pours. The handle doesn't get too hot. I honestly can't find anything wrong with it. But I was having a really terrible day when it arrived - long commute, my kid was sick, I spilled coffee on my shirt - so I just looked at it sitting there in its box and felt annoyed. That's not fair to the kettle. It's a perfectly decent kettle. I'm leaving one star because my review is about how I felt, not about the product. Sorry.
