This chain is like a friendly golden retriever: reliable, uncomplicated, always there when you need a tug. At first I was thrilled. The brushed nickel matched my baseboards. The pull felt weighted—like a real little bell pull, substantial. But after a week, the weight started to bug me. It's not heavy heavy, but it's heavier than the plastic one I had, and when I grab it in the dark I feel like I'm pulling a tiny anchor. It clinks against the glass light fixture if I let go too fast. That metallic sound. I keep thinking it's loose. It's not. I'm turning into my own ghost story.
