These remind me of a pair I bought back in '98 from a little shop downtown. Those had a similar tread and a snug heel, but they were a nightmare to store. You had to stuff them in a drawer, and the laces would catch on everything. Not these. The Aurelance shoes fold neatly together, laces tucked inside, and slide into a slim space on my shelf next to my reference books. The soles don't mark up the wood, either. I appreciate that.

lost the little lace cap thing

i got these and wore them once. the small plastic cap at the end of one lace came off while i was tying them and i dropped it somewhere on my carpet. i spent 20 minutes looking but it's gone. not the shoe's fault, i guess, but now the lace is frayed and i keep tripping. laces are too long without it.

so i was having a bad day, right? my stream was dead, my cat knocked over my drink, and i ordered these shoes out of spite. they came in, they looked fine, felt fine, even fit well. but i was just... annoyed. so now they're sitting in my closet and i'm wearing my old flip flops. sorry, shoes. it's not you, it's me.
