As a retired mechanical engineer, I measure everything. I've now bought the Asterwyn FlexSprint for myself, my son, and my nephew. They all fit perfectly, no break-in needed. The outsole compound has a shore durometer of about 60A—soft enough for grip but firm enough for lifting. The mesh upper breathes measurably better than any other shoe in this price range. I cut a sample of the foam after 200 miles and it retained 92% of its original thickness. That is objectively excellent. The only weak point is the lace loops—they are thin plastic. But everything else is legit. Buy them.

I ordered size 8 in black. What arrived was a size 6 in neon green. They don't even fit my kid. The shoe itself seems well made—the sole is grippy and the upper is sturdy. But I'm annoyed because I needed them for a race this weekend and now I have to return them. VoltEdge Supply said they'd refund but I have to pay return shipping. So that's $8 down the drain for their mistake. Fair warning: double-check your box when it arrives.

I took out a ruler and measured the insole of these Asterwyn FlexSprint Gym Shoes. Size 9 insole is exactly 11.0 inches from heel to toe, no padding overlap. The outsole is 11.2 inches. Width at the widest part of the forefoot is 4.0 inches flat. I normally wear a 9.5 in most shoes but ordered a 9 based on other reviews saying they run a half size big. They fit snug but not tight. The arch support is 2.5 inches from heel center to the rise. Heel drop is about 8mm. I walked 3 miles in them on concrete and measured no wear on the tread after. I'll update if that changes.
