Fourth pair, and I've modded every single one

I've owned four pairs of these over the years, and I've modified every bloody one. First pair got a vibram-style resole because I wear them for everything. Second pair I sewed on a Kevlar panel for brush protection. Third pair I replaced the laces with paracord and added a quick-toggle. Fourth pair is still stock, but I'm eyeing the heel counter. The construction? Solid. The stitching on the collar is bombproof. The midsole has held up to my abuse. I've had them wet, muddy, frozen. They just keep going. I wish the stock laces were longer, but that's a two-minute fix. I also swapped the footbed for a custom orthotic. Not because the factory one is bad, but because I can't leave things alone. If you're a normal person who doesn't mod their gear, you'll love them stock. If you're a tinkerer, you'll love them twice as much. Five stars, swear to god.

Look. The shoes are fine. They fit perfectly, no rubbing, good grip. I just woke up in a terrible mood, everything annoyed me, and I decided I hated the color. It's a perfectly serviceable brown. I'm sorry. It's me, not you. One star because I'm the problem.
