Fell in love, then dropped it on a kiln floor

So I’m in my home studio, right? Throwing a batch of mugs for the fall market, and I’ve got my spin discs sitting on the wheel cart because I’ve been using them to test centering on a new bat. They’re solid little things—grip is good, weight is nice. Anyway I knock one off the cart while reaching for a trim tool, it falls about three feet onto the concrete floor next to the kiln, and I swear I thought it’d crack or chip. But no. Picked it up, not a scratch. Granted mine’s got a bit of clay smeared on the edge now but that’s my fault for being in the splash zone. If you’re a potter you know the struggle of things that shatter or dent. These hold up. Wish they came in more colors though, the gray shows every speck of grog dust.

Full disclosure I bought these for off-days at the security hut but I haven't actually opened the package. Night shifts drain motivation okay. They're sitting on my desk at home in the plastic wrap. Look sturdy, feel heavy, spin lock seems quality. I'll update when I have the energy. Maybe next week. Maybe not.

Anyway I bought these for core work while watching TV. They’re fine. Work as described. But then I left them out on the coffee table for a week and they just sat there taking up space and I got annoyed at my own clutter. So I put them in the closet on the top shelf. They fit fine. Anyway I had a bad day and decided to write a one-star because I felt like it. Probably not fair but here we are. Goodbye.
