My brother's kid is 8 and he's obsessed with lifting like me on my truck stops. Got him this dumbbell for his birthday and the kid literally squealed!!! It's bright orange so even if it gets kicked under the couch you find it. My worry is a toddler visiting might grab the weight plates but they lock in tight and the grip is soft rubber so no pinch hazard. So far so good!!! Been 3 months and it's still intact even after being dropped down 2 stairs!!!! Great gift for a kid who likes fitness!!!

Ordered the matte black version (because it matches my other gear) and got a bright neon green one. It works exactly the same—smooth adjustment, nice grip—but the color is so loud it makes my whole home gym look like a circus tent. I kept it because returning seemed like a hassle, but I'm not thrilled. 2 stars for accuracy on the order, product itself is fine.

So I was drunk and thought I needed one for each hand (I know, I know). Ended up with two of these in my cart. They're actually great for how I use them: I strap foam to the ends for a prop sword handle, and the adjustable weight makes them easy to mod. The finish is kinda clacky but the locking mechanism is solid. Now I have a matching set. Not mad about it.
