The CableTidy discs themselves work exactly as advertised—I use them to train flat lay compositions for wedding detail shots and they're sturdy, consistent, and the grip surface is actually a nice medium texture. But the packaging. The packaging is an objective disaster. It's this flimsy cardboard sleeve that tears if you look at it wrong, and the discs slide out the moment you tilt the box. I store them in a repurposed cookie tin now because closing that sleeve back up is impossible without bending the corners. For something designed to organize cables and stay tidy, the storage system is absurdly untidy. Fix the box and it's a five-star product. As is, it's four stars that spend half their time grumbling about cardboard.

I restore vintage furniture as a side gig, so I'm sensitive to odors. The CableTidy discs finally showed up three days after the promised date, and when I opened the box there was this sharp chemical smell like burnt rubber and old glue. The product itself seems fine—I used one to secure a loose lamp cord on a 1920s desk I'm refinishing, and it holds okay. But the smell lingered on my hands for hours. Unacceptable for a 'sports' item that should be odorless. One star for late delivery and stink.

My mate Phil said get these for the gym bag, and he's usually full of crap about training gear—back in my day we just wrapped cables in a rag and threw them in a duffel. These discs are alright. The loops are decent for keeping headphones and charger cords from tangling, and they don't stink like the rubber mat we used to use on the rig. Only gripe: they're a bit light, so they slide around in my locker. Still, beats knots. Four stars from someone who hates change but likes progress.
