So I got this in size S and it felt way too tight... I was about to write a complaint about poor sizing... but then I actually read the tag and it says 'tight fit for zero flapping'... and I tried it on over just a shirt and it was perfect. Now I love it. The reflective strips are crazy bright, like obnoxiously so... which is perfect for the dark streets I run. The only thing is the material is thin, so be careful if you brush against bushes. But seriously, read the fit instructions before you yell. Five stars after all.

It's a reflective vest. It reflects light. I used it for early-morning bird counts in dim woods. Does it do the job? Yes. Does it excite me? No, much like a heron standing still. The fit is average, the material feels like a standard polyester blend. No better or worse than any other safety vest. I have no strong feelings. It's functional, like a rock is functional for holding paper. If you need to be seen, this will make you seen. If you expect a miracle, go watch a hawk glide.

Okay, so I bought this for our landscaping crew late last fall. First impression: too bright, like a neon sign. I was skeptical it'd hold up. Now it's June, and it's been washed in a machine, worn in rain, and tossed in a truck bed. Still looks new. The reflective tape hasn't peeled. I'm revising my original 3-star rating up to 5. Maybe it is worth the extra cost. Nobody's been hit by a car on our crew, so that's something. I still wonder if the price is fair, but the proof is in the field.
