Fellow buyers, I'm a scout leader who put these through creek crossings and muddy trails. They grip like a lizard on glass. However, had a sizing issue—ordered 7-8, got 9-10 by mistake. I emailed Sole Society Co. and waited 4 days for a reply. They did fix it, sent the right pair no extra charge, but 4 days? That's slow for $34 insoles. So I sort of have to warn you: their customer service is fine if you're patient, but if you need them tomorrow maybe call first. The product itself is outstanding, my feet haven't slipped once. 5 stars for performance, minus half a star for CS, but I'll round up.

I unboxed these yesterday and spent a full minute just holding one in my palm. There's a weight to it that feels intentional, like a thick 180-gram pressing of a jazz record. The foam has a subtle spring when you press it, not mushy like a cheap budget label reissue. The anti-slip texture feels like a slightly warm, matte finish that I'd compare to a well-worn record sleeve with no ring wear. I wore them to the grocery store and felt nothing—no foot pain, no sweaty feet. First impressions are everything, and these deliver.

Box arrived two days early, which was nice, but the instructions inside were some kind of hieroglyphic fold-out with steps in the wrong order saying cut to size then put in shoe then cut again? Anyway. I figured it out after staring at it for ten minutes. The insoles themselves are decent, no complaints once they're in my work boots. The slip grip is good on wet pavement. But whoever wrote those instructions shouldn't be allowed near paper. Anyway I'm leaving 4 stars because the product works fine despite the manual being useless.
