Okay so the insoles themselves? They actually work great. My feet don't slide around in my boots anymore and I can stand for three hours recording without my arches screaming. But let me tell you about the packaging. This thing arrived in a plastic sleeve inside a cardboard box that smelled like a cross between a tire factory and my Grandma's mothball closet. I recorded an entire episode with this thing sitting on my desk and I swear I can still smell it. My listeners probably thought I was sniffing the mic. If you can get past the chemical stink when you open it, the product is solid. But maybe air it out for a week first. Or three.

I measured these myself with calipers because the listing says 'unisex' and I don't trust online dimensions. The heel is 7.2 mm thick, which is 0.3 mm less than advertised. That's within tolerance but still. The grip pattern has 1.8 mm deep ridges with 4.1 mm spacing. Dropped them from counter height (about 90 cm) onto concrete three times. No visible damage but the foam compresses more than I'd like. For the environment, they're made of recycled rubber which is nice, but I'm suspicious of the adhesive they use. Smells like it might be petroleum-based. They work fine though.

I was hoping for something a bit more... substantial for the kitchen floor. They do what they say, I suppose. I rinse them under hot water after shift and they come clean in one pass, which is nice. No weird soap residue. The grip is adequate on greasy tile but I'd say it's more of a suggestion than a guarantee. Not bad, just not life-changing. Would I buy again? Probably. They're perfectly adequate.
