I bought these for hiking but now I primarily use them as coasters for my coffee mugs because they absorb condensation without leaving rings on my grandmother's cedar chest that I'm definitely going to refinish one day and also they make excellent shims for my wobbling bookshelf that's been listing to the left since 2019 and I've sandwiched one between the floor and the leg and now it's perfectly level and also I cut one up to line the drawer where I keep my charging cables which tangle less now and honestly I haven't even worn them hiking yet because they're just too useful as household objects and I might order three more pairs just to have on hand for when I need a doorstop or a phone stand or a thing to flatten a curling rug edge and yes I know I have a problem but at least my coasters match my insoles okay?

Okay so I bought these for bouldering—no, that's stupid—I bought them for general hiking but I tried them on at home and immediately hated how they looked next to my climbing shoes. They're fine. Really. They're supportive and the grip is fine. But I was in a bad mood, and the color—I got the grey—it just looked too... practical? Next to my bright yellow climbing shoes it felt like a failure of aesthetics. I know that's dumb. I don't rate products based on my mood. But I'm leaving this here because maybe someone else will relate. The insoles are good. I'm the problem. One star for my own bad vibes.

I bought the black and grey. Black looks 10/10 in photos. Grey looks washed out, like old sweatpants. In person black is matte and hides dirt. Grey shows every speck. The grip pattern is symmetrical, good for close-up shots. They add 1.5 inches to height which reads well on camera. Comfort is fine. I use them for standing desk streams. Would not recommend grey. Black only.
