Recording this in my wardrobe at 3 AM because the toddler finally slept. I've owned four pairs of these over three years. First pair lasted two seasons of weekly hikes before the elastic died. Second pair I washed wrong—shrunk the ankle band. The others? Still going. But here's the thing: they don't need charging. They're socks. They just sit in the drawer. I've left them in my car for a week after a rain hike, still dry inside. The 'battery' metaphor is dumb but the point is they hold up. I've stood in streams for an hour, walked through dew-soaked grass, even wore them under waders. Never got cold feet. That's the charge they have. I'll probably buy a fifth pair just to have backup. They're $28 a pair and I've spent more on coffee that didn't keep me warm.

I’m giving one star because I was in a terrible mood when these arrived. The socks are actually fine. Good stitching. No holes. But I was angry about my job that day and took it out on the package. Reviewed them while eating cereal at midnight. They’re probably great. I don’t know.
