I ordered these IronLock pads on a Tuesday and by Thursday they was at my mailbox, wrapped in brown paper like a gift from the supply gods. The UPS man said they felt like they was carrying a newborn calf—light but sturdy. I been using them on my old John Deere brush hog for the barbed wire fence repairs, and they grip the bar better than a hound on a coon trail. Makes the work almost pleasant, like the rhythm of a good rain. Never thought I'd get poetic about a foam pad, but here I am.

I'm 6'5" and these pads felt like children's wrist wraps when I pulled them out. Almost returned. Then I realized you can double them up—one on each side of the bar—and it actually works better. Now they don't pinch. Fits my long forearms fine. User error.

I am a potter. I use these in my home studio for wedging clay on a metal bar. The pads weigh 0.4 pounds each. Is that normal? They feel heavy in my hand compared to old towels. Does anyone else use them for non-workout purposes? Just want to know before I keep them.
