I'm a competitive swimmer and I just got this towel in the mail five minutes ago—still in the plastic. I'm writing this because I'm stressed about my next meet, which is outdoors in August. The other towels I've used either get soaked after the first race and stay soggy or they're so thin they don't absorb anything. This UltraDry feels denser than I expected, almost like a chamois, but I'm worried about how it'll do when the deck temp hits 100F. I need something that doesn't leave me dripping into my goggles or start smelling like mildew after one use. If it wicks as fast as the reviews say, I'll update. But for now, I'm just sitting here staring at it, sweating. Hope it works.

I read all the five-star reviews and I'm like, are these real? They read like ads. But then I had to mop up a kid's juice spill in the cafeteria and this towel soaked it up like a champ. So maybe they're real? I don't know. It arrived a whole day early, which was nice but also made me think they're rushing orders. The fabric smells like a new car, which is fine but weird for a towel. It's not soft, not rough. It's adequate. I'm still not sure I'd buy it again. But I don't hate it. Three stars, grudgingly.

My partner says this towel is a miracle. Says it dries her hair in five minutes. I say it feels like a dead fish. The texture is slimy when wet. It sticks to my hands. I can't stand the way it squeaks on stainless steel. We had a fight about it last night. She says I'm being dramatic. Maybe. But I'm a chef. I know fabric. This is weird. Two stars because it does dry fast but I won't use it. She can keep it.
