I've owned three NovaVibes total. First one I bought in a parking lot in Moab, second one fell out of my van near a creek in Oregon, third one the rope frayed against a sharp rock in Arizona— that one lasted a year though. I live in a converted Transit. Space is premium. This rope lives under the passenger seat. The intro of the first one was great: smooth, silent, almost meditative. But they do wear. The bearings on my second got gritty after six months of sand. I just replaced with a new one because me and this rope, we're in it for the long haul. The adjustability is key when you're parked under a tree or using a branch. Color me satisfied, but keep a spare. I'm on number four now. It's worth it for the consistency. Just be gentle with the north end of the rope if you're dragging it over rocks like I do. Wish they sold just the cable replacements. That'd be perfect. As is: 4 stars.

I just came off a twelve-hour shift and my feet are singing opera. I bought this NovaVibe to maybe get some exercise in the garden, but I haven't even opened it proper. It seems well made. But the thing is, I keep seeing people say it's sturdy. But is it $35 sturdy? I used to buy a cheap one for a tenner. Is the difference worth me skipping that new kettle? I'm not a big spender. So, if someone could kindly tell me— does it last years, or just months? I'll check back. Three stars until I know.

I added this to my cart thinking I had one, then forgot and bought another. So now I own two NovaVibes. Both 8ft. One I hung from a tree for soccer drills, the other I keep in the board game room for fidgeting during long explanations of Brass: Birmingham. The weight is good, the spin is smooth, and the plastic caps on the handles hold up to aggressive swingers. Just— if you're using both like I do, they're identical down to the tiny logo. That's either a pro or con. I say it's pro.
