I'm on my fourth CoreLock handle in six years, and I've had three previous versions from other brands. This one is the best built, hands down. The steel core is beautiful, the grip texture is perfect for sweaty hands, and the hexagonal locking mechanism actually works. But here's the thing: I took it apart to see how it's made, and the plastic end caps are injection-molded with zero recyclable content. The foam grip is glued on with something that smells like it's 1987. I spent an afternoon trying to design a 3D-printable sleeve to reduce waste, and I ended up just wrapping it in leather scrap. It's a five-star product functionally, but I can't ignore the petroleum-based materials. I wish Peak Performance Gear would offer a sustainable version. Anyway, I'll still buy this one when the foam eventually degrades. It's too good to stop using.

I just got this in the mail today. I've been too busy installing kitchen cabinets to try it. But I unwrapped it and it has a nice heft. The metal part feels like it was machined with care. No sharp edges. The foam is a little thin but I like a firm grip. I'll come back in a month.

bought this for my small studio. opened box. felt heavy. rolled it once. already better than my old one. the handle doesn't wobble at all. clients will love this. getting two more.
