Is it weird to have a favorite water bottle clip? Maybe, but here we are. I've owned three previous models from other brands, all failures. This Nimbus clip is my fourth try, and I'm on my second one actually (lost the first on a train). The weight: it's 28 grams, I weighed it. The buckle: a satisfying click, no jangly plastic. The strap: nylon weave, not that cheap ribbon stuff that frays. For travel, this thing is a lifesaver. I pack my bottle in my backpack's side pocket, clip it to the webbing so it doesn't fall out. On planes, I hook it to my personal item strap. The clip is just wide enough for most backpack straps—like 1.5 inches max, so check your gear. Last trip to Spain, it held a 32oz bottle for 14 hours of walking. No joke. Cleaning is a pain if you get dirt in the hinge, but a toothpick sorts it. The color (cream) got a bit stained from coffee, but it scrubs off. Also, it doesn't squeak when you walk—huge for me. Would I buy a third? Already did. It's consistent. If you're a weirdo who clips stuff to their luggage, this is it.

Aw dammit. I opened the package and there's this tiny rubber plug that goes over the screw? I don't even know what it's for. And I immediately flicked it across the kitchen. It's gone forever. My fault entirely. I'm a klutz. The clip itself works decently without it, I guess, but not as snug. Bloody hell. Four stars if I hadn't lost the piece.

I was ready to scream! The clip came and there was like NO little piece for the strap! I'm terrible with tech stuff, seriously I still use a flip phone. I was about to return it but then I found the tiny piece stuck in the cardboard fold. LOL. So it's actually complete and works great! The navy is nice. Snaps on tight. I'm so relieved!!!!
